We’ve got it all: Wonderful weather, friendly people, fantastic food, great local wine, a mountain view, an ocean for surfing and a bay for swimming.
We live in Salir do Porto, a village some 60 miles Northwest of Lisbon, high up on the cliffs of the bay of Sao Martinho. Salir has approximately 900 inhabitants, a small supermarket, a baker’s, four pubs, a bar, two beach pavilions, three restaurants and a little old church.
Below us, the river leads to the bay, the dunes and the beach. Above us cliffs with old windmills, and behind these is the ocean. At 150 ft high and 600 ft wide, Salir do Porto has one of the largest dunes in Europe. At the bottom of the headland are the ruins of the old customs building, the Alfandega. There is also a fresh water spring that can only be reached at low tide. At the top of the headland is the ruined chapel of Sant`Anna.
Spending your holiday at Salir do Porto, you have the choice of Oasis, the luxury villa with swimming pool, or the neighbouring apartment which sleeps 4. In spring and autumn, we organise walking holidays and during the summer there are daily walks for minimum two persons

And there are many things to do. There is the ocean for surfing and fishing. There is the bay of São Martinho, wich is great for kids, a sandy beach and a calm sea. And there is history and culture in places nearby.
